  Astra, ThingMagic’s integrated UHF RFID reader, offers an enterprise level, high performance yet low cost EPCglobal Gen2 RFID solution. Astra is ideal for commercial and enterprise environments that require unobtrusive deployments with a minimum of cabling, readers and antennas. Fully supporting ThingMagic’s MercuryOS software, astra includes network management and security features, such as DHCP for configuration and firmware management, and SSL/SSH-based security. Astra supports power over Ethernet (POE), or when AC-powered, optionally supports Wi-Fi backhaul.

• Max tag read distance: Over 30 feet (9M) with integrated 6 dBi antenna (36 dBm EIRP)
